XP Bliss New Tab turns your new tab page into a Windows XP style desktop with a live wallpaper, clock, shortcuts, and a start menu. All of it runs locally in your browser.
This extension does not collect any personal data. It has no accounts, no login, and no server. Everything you see is generated on your device.
When you use the tray sunrise and sunset feature, the extension asks for your location to show the correct times for your area. That reading stays on your device and is used only to compute the sun times. It is never sent to any server and is never stored.
Your desktop shortcuts, icon order, and theme preference are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They never leave your browser and are cleared when you clear browser data or uninstall the extension.
This extension makes no network requests of its own.
