CleanShot processes selected JPEG and PNG images locally in the browser. It does not upload, sell, or share image files. It does not collect analytics, browsing history, webpage content, account information, payment information, or contact information.
The extension requests no host permissions. The original file is never modified. The selected image exists in the popup's memory while you use the tool and is released when the popup closes or resets.
CleanShot has no network requests, remote code, account system, cookies, advertising network, or tracking technology.
CleanShot removes embedded file metadata only. It does not remove information visibly shown inside the image.
